Bob Harvie was born and raised in Bristol Borough and graduated from Bristol High School in 1989. After high school, he attended George Washington University in Washington D.C. where he majored in History and minored in Secondary Education. He graduated magna cum laude from GW with a Bachelors Degree in History in 1993.
After graduation, he returned to Bucks County and worked as a substitute teacher in Bristol High School, and Central Bucks West High School in 1993 and 1994. In the Fall of 1994, he began teaching at Cherokee High School in Marlton, New Jersey. At Cherokee, he taught American History, American Foreign Policy, American Modern Warfare, American Government, World Geography and World Cultures.
In 2000 he received his Master's Degree in Education from Holy Family University and in the Summer of 2000, he was hired to be a Social Studies Teacher and the Social Studies Department Chair at Bucks County Technical High School. In his career at BCTHS, he has taught Global Studies, American History, and Civics.
