Certifications available to the successful Emergency Services Technology student include:
- Automated External Defibrillation (AED)
- Certificate of Training – Hazardous Materials First Responder Awareness
- Certificate of Training – Incident Command System
- Certificate of Training – PA Essentials of Firefighting
- Certificate of Training – Recognition, and Identification of Hazardous Materials
- Heartsaver AED, CPR & First Aid
- HIPPA Employee Training Program
- OSHA Certification
Students in the Emergency Services Technology program can EARN COLLEGE CREDITS!
Students can earn up to 6 credits in the Criminal Justice (curriculum code 1189) and Fire Science (curriculum code 2158) degree programs at Bucks County Community College. Competencies achieved in the Emergency Services Technology program at BCTHS are deemed potentially equivalent to the following Bucks County Community College courses:
FRSC100-Introduction to Fire Science (3 credits); contingent upon IFSAC or Pro-Board certification for Fire Fighter I
HLTH110-Responding to Emergencies (3 credits); contingent upon current Automatic Electronic Defibrillator (AED), Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and EMT/First Aid certification
