SKYWARD ISSUE WITH ASSIGNMENT DUE DATES AND GRADES
Skyward (especially the cell phone APP) will automatically mark any assignment "Missing" if I have not entered a grade on the due date or after. Until I enter a numerical grade for an assignment, Skyward will show an asterisk (*) in the grade field and will list the assignment as "Missing" (M). I would HIGHLY recommend you use the Skyward Family Access (found on BCTHS.com) on your home computer to check your student's grade. Please remember that an asterisk (*) means not graded or see the code field for other information. If your student is indeed missing an assignment, I will indicate the missing assignment in the code field and a comment "Absent - makeup required".
I try to keep my grades updated one full rotation after (6 school days) your student leaves academics. Major assignments, especially for Honors Government and Modern American Military History, will take weeks. For example, I had 32 Honors Government research papers to grade and it took 35 hours spread over three weeks to complete. Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.
Back to School Night
If you are unable to visit BCTHS for Back to School Night, I have uploaded my introductory powerpoint and handout for your review (after you see my little angels) at the bottom of this page.
If I am unable to attend Back to School Night, I will hang folders with my information on my door. If you wish to still speak with me, please send me an email and I can address any question(s) you need answering.
***Parent(s)/Guardian(s) – Teacher Communication***
Please feel free to contact me anytime. I request ***email only communication*** since I can respond when time permits throughout the school day. When you email me please ***use your students full name in the subject line*** so I do not delete the email as spam. You would be amazed how much spam is stopped by our filters and what still gets through. If the question or issue cannot be resolved through email, I would gladly call you between 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm.
