  • CABINETMAKING TEACHER

    FOR THE 2017-18 SCHOOL YEAR

     

    The successful candidate will possess Pennsylvania Department of Education Vocational Certification in Cabinetmaking and Millwork (CIP48.0703).

    -or-

    Possess the following experience in order to:

    • Prepare students to apply technical knowledge and skills in the production of products such as window frames, moldings, trim and panels and such products as furniture, store fixtures, kitchen cabinets and office equipment.
    • Train students in cutting, shaping and assembling parts using hand tools and woodworking machines (including CNC) and refinishing furniture and installing hardware (hinges, catches and drawer pulls).
    • Instruct students in planning layouts, blueprint reading, drafting and knowledge of practical uses and identification of various kinds of woods.

    And possess the ability to attain a PA Department of Education Vocational Emergency Permit.

    We seek a highly organized, self-motivated individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills who has experience working with teenagers.

     INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY TECHNICIAN

     

    Bucks County Technical High School seeks an individual to support the Information Technology Department.  This is a full time, 12 month, permanent position in a comprehensive technical high school.

    The successful candidate will possess:

    • a strong knowledge of computers
    • an understanding of the importance of maintaining and protecting information
    • a sound work ethic
    • excellent communication skills
    • the ability to work well both independently or as a member of a team
    • organizational skills

    The successful candidate will be a motivated individual who is a capable problem solver; taking the initiative to complete projects is a must.

    The successful candidate will have at least three (3) years of experience in all Windows, Mac and Chrome based operating systems and applications.  The successful candidate will install hardware and software; connect and troubleshoot printers, projectors and other devices; provide student information systems support; respond to Help Desk requests; inventory computer hardware and software; and assist in maintaining the school wide ID card system.

    Hourly Rate: $26.71

    Upon hire you will be required to submit criminal background clearances, physical examination and TB test results.
