NEW STUDENTS & PARENTS ORIENTATION
This orientation will be held for all new students who
have been selected to enter our school in September, and their parents/guardians..
This event will be held on Thursday, August
14th in the BCTHS auditorium. Those
students whose last name begins with A to L will attend from 8:30am
until 11:00am; those students whose last name begins
M to Z will attend from 12:30pm until 3:00pm.

PHOTO IDENTIFICATION CARDS
Students are required to carry school issued photo identification
cards. New students are required to come into school before the beginning
of the new school year to have their photograph taken. New students
include all incoming 9th grade students and any 10th thru 12th grade
students who will be attending our school for the first time.
Pictures will be taken from 8:00am until 11:30am
and 12:30pm until 2:00pm each day,
as follows:
August 19th for those students whose
last name begins with A-F
August 20th for those students whose last name
begins with G-P
August 21st for those students whose last name
begins with Q-Z
Also, students are required to purchase
a lock for their locker while at BCTHS. Only school-issued locks
are permitted and will be available for purchase in
the Pupil Personnel Services office on the days students are scheduled
to come in for their picture I.D. The cost of the lock is $7
- please bring exact change. If you have any questions about locks,

Please take the course booklets home
and discuss the options with your parents. COURSE SELECTION WILL TAKE
PLACE ON March 20th for grade 10 and 11, and March 25th for grade 9.On
course selection day, students will take the course selection sheet
to each academic teacher. An appropriate course will be determined for
each student and signed by the current teacher of record. At the end
of the day, the forms will be returned to PPS. Parents will receive
a course verification notice in the mail in early April. At that point,
a parent may contact a counselor or the teacher to address questions
or concerns.
Please be advised that your decisions
are serious, and should be made carefully. NO CHANGES WILL BE MADE AFTER
JULY 1.
