ADMISSIONS CRITERIA
Students interested in attending BCTHS must complete an
application, which is available at the school, or by accessing electronically
below. Applications are also available in guidance offices at the sending
school districts.
The philosophy of BCTHS is that passing grades, attendance,
punctuality, and appropriate behavior are important to employers and
to successfully enter post-secondary education. As a result, the criteria
for acceptance into the school will be determined by grades in Math,
Science, English and Social Studies, attendance, punctuality, and a
student's discipline record. A student is no longer required to have
a 5th grade reading and math level to be admitted to BCTHS. However,
reading and math levels will be considered before a student is assigned
to a specific technical program; levels will not be the only factor
considered.
Students will receive written notification no later
than May 1st, at which time open enrollment will begin. Any opening
not used by students residing in a specific district will be offered
to students in other districts.
Academics offered at BCTHS include Honor, College Prep,
Career Prep, and Learning Support courses.
