This course is a review and extension of Algebra 1. Topics include linear equations and inequalities, functions and graphs, permutations and combinations, probability and statistics, quadratic functions, exponential functions and polynomials. Students will need a TI-83 Plus or TI-84 Plus calculator.
Prerequisite: Algebra 1 and Geometry
This course is a review and extension of Algebra 1. Topics include irrational numbers, solutions to quadratic and higher degree equations, graphing and solving linear and non-linear functions, the use of fractional and negative exponents, and exponential functions. A grade of C or better in Algebra 1 is recommended for success in this course. Students will need a TI-83Plus or a TI84 Plus calculator.

Pre-Calculus- Grade 11 - Honors (18 wks. 1 cr. 5.0 qpt.)
This course is designed for the more serious math student. The purpose of the course is to better prepare one for the study of calculus. The course includes a thorough study of algebraic concepts, functions and graphs, polynomial and rational functions, exponential and logarithmic functions, trigonometry, conic sections. introduction to limits and calculus. Students will need a TI-83 Plus or a TI-84 Plus calculator.

Geometry- Foundations (18 wks. 1 cr. 4.0 qpt.)
This course focuses more on vocabulary, fundamentals, and the use of the tools of Geometry. Students will need a TI-83 Plus or TI-84 Plus calculator.
Prerequisite: Algebra I.
Geometry – Academic (18 wks. 1 cr. 4.0 qpt.)
This course is a study of Euclidian Geometry. Topics include perimeter, area and volume, the use of formulas, properties of circles, similarity, and proofs as applied to congruence, properties of polygons and the use of Algebra skills to solve applied problems. Students will need a TI-83 Plus or TI-84 Plus calculator.
Prerequisite: Academic Algebra I and Teacher Recommendation
Honors Geometry (18 wks. 1 cr. 5.0 qpt.)
This course provides an in depth study of the properties of basic geometric figures, such as; lines, planes, triangles, quadrilaterals, polygons, circles, and solids. In addition, mathematical reasoning and logic will be addressed leading to students developed proofs of geometric theorems. The course requires completion of a research paper and independent studies. Students will need a TI-83 Plus or TI-84 Plus calculator.
Prerequisite: Honors Math, a “B” or better for final math grade in Honors Math and Teacher recommendation
PSSA Proficiency – Grade 12 (18 wks. 1 cr. 4.0 qpt.)
This class will be a required class for any student who does not achieve proficient or advanced on the eleventh grade math PSSA. The course will cover material from the five anchors of the PSSA test. A final grade of 74 or higher is required for graduation.
Foundations of Statistics – Grade 12 (18 wks. 1 cr. 4.0 qpt.)
This course deals with the collection, classification and analysis of data. Topics include frequency distributions, measure of central tendency and probability. This course will utilize hands on projects incorporating Excel, PowerPoint, and other computer-based tools. Students will need a TI-83 Plus or TI-84 Plus calculator.

This course deals with the collection, classification and analysis of data. Calculus
This course develops the student’s understanding of the concepts of calculus and provides experience with its methods and applications. The course emphasizes a multi-representational approach to calculus, with concepts, results and problems being expressed geometrically, numerically, analytically and verbally.
