Foreign Language

Spanish I - Grade 9 (18 wks. 1 cr. 4.0 qpt.)

These courses are designed for the motivated college-bound student. These courses concentrate on developing the student’s language skills and cultural awareness in order to communicate effectively in the language. Instruction includes communicative practice, small group activities, and cultural-oriented role-play.

Prerequisite: Students wishing to take Spanish II must have completed Spanish I with a grade of “C” or better and have Teacher’s recommendation.

Spanish I & II- Grades 10 & 11 (18 wks. 1 cr. 4.0 qpt.)

This course is designed for the motivated college bound student. This course concentrates on developing the student’s language skills and cultural awareness in order to communicate effectively in the language. Instruction includes communicative practice, small group activities, and cultural-oriented role-play. Class participation and daily assignments are essential to this course. 10th and 11th grade students will be excused from their technical area daily to attend their Spanish class.

Prerequisite: Students wishing to take Spanish II must have completed Spanish I with a grade of C or better and have teacher’s approval.
